Stryker announced the launch of its advanced ICU air mattress, APAISER X1, at ANEiCON 2025, the annual conference of the Association of Nurse Executives (ANEi) India, held in Kochi.
Tailored specifically for the Indian market, the APAISER X1 integrates with Stryker’s SmartMedic platform and is designed with the aim of enhancing patient comfort, reducing the risk of pressure injuries and improving caregiver efficiency in critical care settings.
Arvind Srinivas, Business Unit Director, Medical, said, “The increasing need for better patient outcomes and stronger caregiver support demands innovations that combine advanced technology with solutions tailored to local challenges.”
Key features include independent low-air loss technology, a 3-in-1 TrueCare alternating pressure system, and three customisable care modes: Alternate, Static, and Constant Low Pressure. Other notable features include auto fowler detection, a quiet pump for noise-sensitive environments, and a transportation cap that preserves mattress pressure for extended periods without power, ensuring continuity of care during patient transfers or power outages.
