Kumho Mitsui Chemicals has started a new chlor-alkali plant in Yeosu using thyssenkrupp nucera’s e-BiTAC v7 electrolyser technology to produce 60,000 tons of chlorine yearly for MDI production, reducing reliance on imports.
The plant recycles by-product brine, cutting effluent and environmental impact while supporting eco-friendly, cost-effective operations.
