Hurricane Erick, a storm heading towards the Southern Pacific Coast of Mexico, has strengthened overnight to a Category 4 — and you can see the scale of it from space.
Footage shared on the official SEN YouTube channel shows Hurricane Erick churning over Earth, captured on 18 June at 20:06 UTC from a 4K camera on the International Space Station.
The storm is expected to produce “life-threatening flooding and mudslides” in areas of Southwest Mexico, with “coastal flooding” and “devastating wind damage” near its core, per the National Hurricane Center.
