The NCC has confirmed the UK’s first open-access Carbon Fibre Development Facility at Cygnet Texkimp’s site in Northwich, Cheshire West.
Funded by DSIT, it will feature two digitally enabled lines to boost UK carbon fibre production, support key sectors, and train future engineers.
Testing begins in Autumn 2025, with full operations starting in Spring 2026 to support UK industrial growth.
