The Indian Textiles Ministry recently announced the approval of a $221.25-million plan for setting up a Pradhan Mantri Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel Park in Tamil Nadu’s Virudhunagar.
The park will house an advanced textile manufacturing complex focused on technical textiles and integrated processing units.
The completion target is September 2026.
