Bangladesh is hopeful of securing a mutually-beneficial tariff agreement with the US as negotiations continue in Washington DC, Shafiqul Alam, press secretary at the Chief Adviser’s office said yesterday.
The next round of negotiations is scheduled for today.
Alam’s comments followed the US announcing a plan to impose a 35-per cent trade tariff on Bangladesh, and that worries exporters.
