Bangladesh’s large manufacturing sector saw a YoY growth of 7.8 per cent in May, showing signs of recovery and momentum across most industrial segments.
Out of 23 divisions, only six contracted, while 17 expanded.
The garment segment rose by nearly 12 per cent in the month, lifting overall growth, even as the textile industry, the second-highest weighted component, shrank by 9.48 per cent.
