
Brazil’s cotton prices dipped 1.21 per cent to BRL 4.3643 (~$0.79) per pound by June 16, as sellers cleared 2023–24 stocks and buyers focused on future contracts.
Only 1.4 per cent of the 2024–25 crop was harvested by June 7.
Cotton exports fell three per cent year-on-year.
Globally, ICAC forecasts flat output for 2025–26, while consumption may rise 0.56 per cent, still trailing supply.
