
India’s cotton production for 2024–25 has been revised upward to 311.40 lakh bales, a 10.25 lakh bale increase from the previous estimate, driven by higher output in Maharashtra, Gujarat, and other states.
Total supply is now estimated at 380.59 lakh bales.
Consumption is projected at 308 lakh bales, with exports unchanged at 17 lakh bales and closing stock rising to 55.59 lakh bales.
