China confirmed the framework of a trade deal with the US, involving Washington cancelling certain restrictions and Beijing reviewing export-controlled items, including rare earth elements crucial to US industries.
The agreement follows months of tariff disputes and slow Chinese export licensing.
The US may also extend the July 9 deadline for higher tariffs.
