Imported goods containers are piling up at Bangladesh’s Chattogram port due to a drop in goods delivery as factories and vehicles are yet to resume running in full swing amid festival holidays.
Acute congestion is expected as the volume of goods handed over to consignees each day may not rise until most factories and offices reopen.
Daily deliveries of import containers started to fall on June 7.
