Operations at Bangladesh’s Bhomra Land Port have been stopped due to a shutdown of the National Board of Revenue and a ‘March to NBR’ programme called by protesting workers.
The closure was part of the shutdown that began on June 28.
Nearly 20,000 people who relied on the port for livelihood demanded a quick resolution of the issue.
The Bhomra C&F Agent Association called for an end to the stalemate.
