Solvay and Enagás have signed an agreement to develop a hydrogen storage hub in Polanco, Cantabria, repurposing salt caverns initially used for soda ash production.
This project will provide safe, flexible, and scalable storage for renewable hydrogen, supporting Spain’s ambition to become a key hydrogen exporter and enhancing grid stability by addressing renewable energy intermittency.
