The UK consumer price index (CPI) rose by 3.4 per cent YoY in May compared with a 3.5-per cent YoY rise in April, official statistics show.
It rose by 0.2 per cent month on month (MoM) in May 2025 compared with a 0.3-per cent MoM increase in May 2024.
The CPI for clothing and footwear in the country dropped by 0.3 per cent YoY and increased by 0.8 per cent MoM in May this year.
