The US has reached a trade deal with China that would ease curbs by the latter on export of rare earth minerals and magnets, President Donald Trump said.
Total tariffs on imports from China now would be 55 per cent.
“Our deal with China is done, subject to final approval with President Xi and me,” he said on social media.
Washington would make concessions on allowing Chinese students into the US.
