Ameesha Patel lashes out at director, Anil Sharma, saying she won’t play a mother-in-law ‘even if paid 100 crores’
Actress, Ameesha Patel recently made headlines for taking a dig at Gadar 2 director, Anil Sharma’s remark about her being resistant to playing a mother-in-law on screen in an interview with Siddharth Kannan. The Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai star took to her X (formerly known as Twitter) handle to make it abundantly clear to the director that she had no intentions of playing such a role regardless of the paycheck offered. Firmly asserting that she had every right to choose the kind of roles she portrayed on screen, Ameesha penned:
“Dear @Anilsharma_dir dear Anilji. This is only a film and not a reality of some family, so on screen, I do have a say as to what I want to do and not do respect you loads, but I will never play a mother-in-law for Gadar or any film, even if paid 100 crores.”
