The Association of Healthcare Providers – India (AHPI), in partnership with digital learning platform MedLern, hosted a System Integration Digital Health (SIDH) workshop in Bhopal. Held at Enrise by Sayaji, the event brought together more than 150 healthcare CXOs from over 80 hospitals and institutions to discuss digital transformation strategies within India’s healthcare ecosystem.
The one-day workshop is part of an ongoing initiative by Koita Foundation aimed at supporting healthcare providers, particularly those in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, in adopting digital tools to improve service delivery. Sessions during the workshop focused on the implementation and use of Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS), Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), and clinical decision-support systems.
The SIDH session offered a leadership-focused view on digital solutions that can enhance patient care, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen institutional systems. Participants also explored common barriers to digital adoption and discussed approaches to achieving long-term digital maturity within healthcare organisations.
Dr Sunil Khetarpal, Director, AHPI, said, “System Integration Digital Health (SIDH) is an initiative developed by Koita Foundation and PwC in association with AHPI, which has consistently been committed to capacity building across the healthcare sector. Operating through its 20 state chapters, AHPI has already trained over 250 healthcare professionals from more than 120 hospitals across four states—Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Karnataka. The goal is to expand these workshops to various cities across the country.”
He added that this edition in Bhopal was made possible through support from the AHPI Madhya Pradesh Chapter, MedLern, and the MP Nursing Home Association (MPNHA).
Deepak Sharma, Co-Founder and CEO of MedLern, said, “This collaboration with Koita Foundation and AHPI is a testament to our shared vision of transforming healthcare through continuous learning and digital readiness. We are creating a local network and ecosystem in each city to provide ongoing support and knowledge resources to Hospital CXOs to help them approach digital transformation with confidence. Indian healthcare’s opportunity to achieve significant gains in patient care and delivery efficiency is possible only with rapid digitisation.”
The workshop functioned as a platform for peer learning, enabling healthcare leaders to exchange practical insights and reassess traditional care models in the context of emerging digital technologies. The focus remained on translating shared knowledge into systems-level improvements across healthcare institutions.
