Dentalkart, a dental-commerce platform, and Medi Study Go, a learning hub for BDS and MDS aspirants, have announced The Dental Spotlight, India’s reportedly first Dental Creator Summit and Awards. The event is scheduled to take place in Mumbai in September 2025 and is designed to provide professional development, mentorship, and recognition for dentists at various stages of their careers.
According to the organisers, the summit will bring together clinicians, educators, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders to offer early-career dentists and students the opportunity for direct engagement. Alongside clinical learning, the event will include creator-focused training through workshops on podcasting, video production, and social media storytelling, aimed at helping dental professionals communicate their knowledge to broader audiences.
“This summit is a launchpad for every dentist who believes clinical excellence and creative storytelling can coexist. We are building a stage where talent meets technology and mentorship meets momentum,” said Dr. Vikas Agarwal, Founder and CEO of Dentalkart.
The summit will also focus on building professional networks by offering dedicated lounges for attendees to interact with experienced clinicians, entrepreneurs, and experts. These interactions are expected to support opportunities such as residencies, research collaborations, and business partnerships.
Dr. Palak Bhandari, Founder of Medi Study Go, said, “Our learners wanted more than textbooks, they wanted visibility, validation and community. The Dental Spotlight delivers exactly that.”
In an effort to support innovation in the field, The Dental Spotlight will feature a Pitch Tank and funding opportunity where student innovators can present their ideas to a jury of investors and industry leaders. The platform will offer mentorship and potential seed funding for selected concepts.
Attendees will also have access to a Clinical Innovation Showcase, featuring live demonstrations of the latest instruments, materials, and digital workflows. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Continuing Dental Education (CDE) credits will be provided to participants to ensure formal recognition of their learning experience.
The summit will conclude with awards across multiple categories to recognise achievements in education, innovation, clinical practice, and content creation. Award categories include Dentist in Education, Dentist in Innovation, Dental Practitioners, and Dentist in Social Media. Specific honours under these categories include the Teaching Legacy Award, Top Academic Performer, Innovation in Design, NextGen Spark, Excellence in Patient Care, Young Professional in Practice, Reel of the Year, Best Dental Photograph, and Rising Star Content Creator.
Dentalkart and Medi Study Go state that the summit is intended to serve as a long-term platform for dental professionals to grow, collaborate, and build visibility within the industry and the digital space.
