MedLern has announced the launch of its NABH 6th Edition E-Learning Programme, developed to help hospitals implement the updated National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) standards across departments through structured digital training. MedLern currently supports more than 450 hospitals and 125,000 healthcare professionals across India through its learning platform.
According to the company, its previous NABH 5.0 training suite remains the only structured digital learning solution of its kind to successfully embed a quality-oriented culture across hospitals. Institutions such as Cytecare Hospital in Bengaluru and KD Hospital in Ahmedabad have been cited as examples of effective implementation.
The sixth edition of the NABH standards introduces nine core changes. These include a shift in language from “should” to “shall” for compliance, making adherence non-negotiable. There is a greater emphasis on leadership accountability in clinical governance and patient safety. The updated standards require integration of digital health systems, including cybersecurity, and outline 105 mandatory core elements for safety. They also introduce new expectations in infection prevention, antimicrobial stewardship, patient assessments, preventive wellness, sustainable healthcare practices, and alignment with international protocols.
Deepak Sharma, Co-founder and CEO of MedLern, said, “The NABH 6th Edition isn’t just an update—it’s a strategic roadmap for healthcare excellence. Our comprehensive e-learning platform transforms complex regulatory requirements into accessible, actionable training modules. These can be understood and implemented not just by the leadership but by the frontline staff in all the departments of a typical hospital.”
MedLern’s updated platform offers 11 learning modules, including topics such as Access, Assessment and Continuity of Care, Medication Management, Patient Rights and Education, Infection Control, and the newly introduced Sustainability in Healthcare. The content includes progress tracking, interactive simulations, microlearning for time-constrained professionals, and automatic certification.
A built-in nursing competency assessment system enables clinical skill evaluation, while credential verification modules support tracking of specialised procedures. The platform’s NABH Audit Ready Reports allow hospitals to generate documentation for compliance and ensure that no requirement is overlooked. Competency assessments are designed to align directly with NABH’s mandatory core requirements, and virtual case scenarios prepare teams to apply the standards in clinical environments.
The platform is designed to support over 25 departments in a hospital setting and accounts for challenges such as staff attrition and knowledge loss. MedLern also provides support through expert-led change management processes and works with hospital leadership to ensure effective implementation.
