Redcliffe Labs, an omnichannel diagnostics service provider, has released a preventive healthcare advisory in response to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases reported across parts of India. According to the advisory, national case numbers crossed the 250 mark in May 2025. The lab has urged individuals to remain vigilant, consult medical professionals when necessary, and follow basic preventive measures.
After reviewing current trends in respiratory infections, Redcliffe Labs has recommended that individuals experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, cold, or fatigue seek medical advice and consider getting tested. The advisory also includes guidance for asymptomatic individuals who have had recent contact with confirmed or suspected cases, advising them to follow local health protocols and limit social interactions while awaiting results.
To support accurate and timely diagnosis, the advisory highlights the importance of molecular testing, such as RT-PCR, which detects the genetic material of the virus. Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) are also suggested for cases where quicker results are needed, particularly in symptomatic individuals or those with high-risk exposure.
Dr Mayanka Lodha Seth, Chief Pathologist, Redcliffe Labs, said, “While there is a resurgence in a few regions, the situation remains manageable. There is no need for panic. What’s important is timely action. We advise individuals not to ignore early symptoms such as cough, fever, or severe body aches. Consult a doctor if you feel unwell, get tested if needed, and take basic precautions. At Redcliffe Labs, we remain committed to supporting communities with accessible diagnostics and reliable health information.”
Redcliffe Labs has confirmed it is prepared to handle increased testing demand. With a network of laboratories and collection centres across India, the organisation maintains diagnostic services supported by quality protocols and operational infrastructure to ensure timely reporting.
