Sharda Care Healthcity has appointed Dr Chirag Tandon as Director of the Department of Internal Medicine at its Greater Noida facility. The appointment is part of the institution’s effort to strengthen its internal medicine services and integrated patient care.
Dr Tandon brings nearly 20 years of clinical experience in managing adult medical conditions. His areas of proficiency include diabetes and thyroid disorders, infectious diseases, metabolic and rheumatologic illnesses, geriatric medicine, gastroenteritis, and critical care. He is also experienced in ICU and ICCU management, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), and dialysis. In addition, Dr Tandon holds training in pulmonary and sleep medicine, adding further scope to his approach in multidisciplinary care.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr Tandon contributed to the treatment and recovery of critically ill patients. He is also active in academic circles and co-authored a chapter titled Sarcoidosis in India: Not So Rare for the Clinical Medicine Update 2009. His work on the same topic received the Best Poster award at the Annual Association of Physicians of India (API) Meet held in Greater Noida in 2009.

Before joining Sharda Care Healthcity, Dr Tandon held the position of Unit Head – Internal Medicine at Yatharth Hospital, Greater Noida.
