Samsung’s smaller foldable got a big upgrade this year.
The Korean tech giant finally unveiled the long-rumored Galaxy Z Flip 7 on Wednesday morning during its latest Unpacked livestream.
Like the last six models, it’s a clamshell-style foldable with a flagship phone-sized unfolded inner display, and a smaller exterior display that can provide useful information without asking you to unfold the phone.

The biggest year-over-year improvement from the Z Flip 6 will undoubtedly be the new exterior cover display, which is much bigger than before and goes from edge-to-edge for the first time. It’s also got a new 120Hz refresh rate and the ability to interface with AI features like Gemini Live and Samsung’s Now Brief, both of which can be used without opening up the phone now. You can also use the camera to show things to the onboard AI, in case you want fashion advice from a large language model or something like that.
It starts at $1,099 and comes in three colors: Jet-black, blue shadow, and coral red. It’ll be released on July 25, and you can preorder the phone now at Samsung.com.
The Z Flip 7 certainly makes a good first impression. We’ll have a full review on the site in the near future.
